Police have reported that the incident occurred at the “Baytul Masor” mosque in Stockholm on Saturday evening, hours after the suspected person was detained by police for driving under the influence of banned substances.
The driver is believed to have crashed the car at the mosque's doors by about 19 local time, causing minor material damage. This person had then offended believers by shouting out of the car with open windows. The police arrested him after he went home.
He is accused by law bodies of deliberate damage to property, public insults and driving as long as he has been banned from it.
About five hours before this incident, police had detained the suspect from testing him regarding prohibited substances and were found to be under their influence. This person was barred from driving for the next 24 hours and was asked to appear in court for breaking the rules.
Anyway, he drove back on the street and crashed into the mosque doors. The incident occurred just a day after the terrorist attack on two New Zealand mosques, where 50 people were killed, writes “Daily Mail”.
