During yesterday, European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocincic has declared that Trepca should be part of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Kocijancic's statement was strongly rejected by all state leaders, while today publicist Veton Surroi has said such a request by the EU is natural.
According to Surroi, this EU requirement is the natural flow of guiding principles Kosovo has accepted so far.
The following is Veton Surroi's full post:
The request by the European Commission that the status of“Trepce” be part of negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia is the natural course of guiding principles Kosovo has accepted so far. Over the past seven years, Kosovo has agreed to talk with Serbia, and to agree with it, about how the municipalities of Kosovo (Serb municipalities) will be organised, what nationality should inevitably have police commander and appeals judges in Northern Mitrovica, and what height should be the wall of the siege in the northern part of the city of Mitrovica.
It is clear to Lady Moghrin's office that if Kosovo has agreed to negotiate and agree on all these issues that should be part of Kosovo's sovereignty, it will also agree to talk about “Trepca”.
It's a good lesson for the Kosovo political spectrum why it should be passed from the negotiation process of “abnormalisation” in the negotiation process of the comprehensive “Agreement” with the assessment of the process thus far and with new principles and agreed leadership.” /Periscope/
