Minister Shala orders verification of products traded in Kosovo

Minister of Trade and Industry Andrew Shala has ordered the MTI Market Inspectorate in collaboration with municipal inspectors to do intensive market inspections in Kosovo, to verify any documentation of products imported from Serbia and BiH, but also from other countries and to compare these documents to exposed products [...]
The purpose of this action is to establish verification and sequencing of any product that may be smuggled and traded in our country.
“I am engaged every day, that MTI be a business voice, and that we also improve the business climate in our country, and MTI is obliged to implement the law and constitution of our country. It is a legal and constitutional duty to stop all smuggling, to sequentine any product for which origin is not proven. With these actions we are defending the being of our state, and at the same time consumerly, Kosovo citizen”, the minister said.
According to him, our country's institutions will have precise information on any product traded in Kosovo.
The Market Inspector's “, along with municipal inspectors, is obliged to submit weekly reports on all findings during inspections on the Kosovo Republic market”, Shala said.
He has called on all economic operators operating in the Republic of Kosovo to be supplied with products, which have passed all customs, sanitation and phyto-sanitary procedures before exposing these products to consumers.
