The Constitutional Court has rejected the complaint of irregularities in local elections in Istog, which was made by former AAK candidate for mayor of this municipality, Gani Dresaj.
In a media communiqué, the Constitutional Court suggests that Dresaj's complaint has been deemed unfounded.
The court finds that controversial PZAP decisions and the Supreme Court are in accordance with and defined by law, rationale and that the same are not arbitrary or clearly unreasonable. It is another matter of whether the high law is in accordance with the Constitution or not. On this issue, the court stated from the outset that the legal framework, which regulates electoral rights in the Republic of Kosovo, is not the subject of review in this case”, says the court's announcement.
Otherwise, Dresaj's counter-Candidate in local elections was Hakki Rugova from the LDK ranks, which after the Constitutional decision will continue to hold the post. /Persycope
