Croatia's Defence Ministry has announced today that the contingent of 30 Croatian soldiers has been sent to Kosovo in support of NATO's peacekeeping operation.
The contingent of 30 Croatian soldiers from the Knez Trpimir barracks in Divulj near Trogir has been sent to NATO peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, where Croatian forces have participated in the last 10 years.
The removal of the container was accompanied by the head of the 93rd air unit, Colonel Boris Panic, who noted that the Croatian Air Force (HRZ) in the mission in Kosovo has been participating constantly since 2009.
The 30th contingent commander, Colonel Stjepan Stepic, said soldiers are well prepared, experienced and ready for another mission.
For the past ten years, our members have contributed to the construction and maintenance of peace and stability in the Republic of Kosovo under the auspices of NATO's operation, and our role is also to confirm the full commitment of this time to the mission's success and to introduce the country with dignity and honour of”, Stupic has indicated.
The basic task of Croatian soldiers at the US base Bondsteel in Ferizaj is to transport persons and cargo, Croatian authorities have indicated.
