The State Prosecutor has yet to accept the results of ballot envelope samples from Serbia, the cause of which over 20 CEC officials ended up for treatment at KKUK.
Even at this institution, it seems that they have no information about when these results will be in their hands. Prosecutor's officials say that some people have been interviewed in this case, until they continue to keep the State secret about where these samples were sent for examination.
It was October 13th of this year when more than 20 Central Election Commission officials began complaining about their state of health while opening and checking votes coming from Serbia in closed envelopes.
Many 26 officials with the number of envelopes in office were faced with allergic reactions, such as vomiting, rashes, and bruises.
All these persons were initially treated at the main Centre of Family Medicine, Fehmi Aganiʹ, in Pristina, until those in a more serious condition were referred to at KKUK, where they had been treated for several days.
And to learn the reason why it caused allergic reactions to verifiators, the State Prosecutor has sent envelope samples to Serbia abroad for examination. But even after nearly two months, they do not have the results.
At Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutorship, they claim they are still pending these results.
The prosecutor's spokeswoman, Laurel Ulya, has told Gazeta Express that investigations are under way on the case and that several people have been interviewed so far.
According to Ulaj, the results of these tests have not yet reached Kosovo.
This case is considered an investigation. So far some persons have been interviewed on this issue, while as far as results of the tests are concerned, we are waiting for them, as they have not yet reached our state”, Ulaj's answers are said.
The Express newspaper has again tried to get an answer about the state and the lab where they were sent to examine these samples, but the prosecutor did not provide details.
Otherwise, on Sunday (October 13th) as they were opening and checking votes coming from Serbia in closed envelopes, 20 CEC officials complaining about their state of health. Twelve of them ended up lying in the hospital.
Doctors said they had different reactions, like vomiting, frying in the face, scratching.
The Director of the Infectious Clinic in Pristina, Lindita Ayzaj Berisha, at a news conference, had said the results they received from the Biochem Institute, about the envelopes coming from Serbia, have ruled out the possibility of an infective agent.
For now, with these results of storts taken, it's excluded for an infectious disease, all of the lab tests we've received from the Biochemistry Institute. And the stupid strips we've received today, and they also rule out the possibility of an intelligent agent”, she said.
In this regard, Serbian authorities had declared this to be an attempt to manipulate.
“is preparing manipulation of the Serbian citizens' votes to pave the way for the people of ( Vetevendosje Chairman Albin) Kurti at Parliament”, said in the response of Office for Kosovo director in Serbia Government Marko Djuric.
Serbian List President Goran Rakic has said that during Sunday, members of this party have left the spaces of the Pristina Centre for Counting Votes, adding that the theft of Serbian votes is currently taking place to overturn the election will.
Meanwhile, reactions to the case have also come from the Vetevendosje Movement. The VV has demanded that state authorities investigate the causes of poisoning.
“Eminance of voting operation employees through mail has disturbed staff members, but public opinion as well. State authorities must investigate the causes of this poisoning, as should investigate packages coming from Serbia in a way organised by the state of Serbia”, was stressed in response.
These ballot packages have not come through the mail, as the law requires of elections, but have been brought against-law by Serbia's liaison office. These illegally brought ballot papers must be refused. While the CEC's professional service should continue working on the assessment and exact numbering of votes coming from mrgata”, it was said in response.
