This is the second protest held this year against climate change in Pristina.
Full announcement of the protest Council:
On September 20th, we joined against climate change, marched to the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Panification to raise our voices. On Friday, December 6th, we will express our requests again! Winter is coming, and we already have difficulty breathing. Kosova A and Kosova B are in full power, producing the electricity we overuse. Now it is time for us to act and let the institutions know that the new generation will not accept this. It's our future!
Coal thermals are not the only problems we have in Kosovo. Our drinking water is scarce, but we still choose to lose it. One way this is happening is the construction of hydropower plants. The ministry has received all relevant documents to ensure the plants are built. However, they are unclear about their release, and we do not believe that all documents are taken in the right way.
On this date the world will go against climate change, and we, too, for the second time in Pristina. We'll meet first in Thermokisss (1100), then we'll walk to Skenderbeu, march to Grandy and we want to finish at the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning (14:00). We do this so that our main concern will be heard, which is, to make our environment a priority!
After the march, we're going to the bus station and the city park to take action, and this is certainly with people who want to join. We will plant trees as the most effective way of mythmaking action, increase awareness and act at the same time. We will provide all necessary means and seedlings to be planted.
If you are against the pollution of your future, join us in this march! We must make decisionmakers aware that we disagree with what they are deciding for us!
