A day after the Kosovo Parliament's constitutionalisation, country President Hashim Thaci exploited his right to call Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurtin as the winner of the October elections for appointment of the mandate to form the government. Thaci even made the same invitation twice a day. But both of his invitations were rejected by Kurt because, as he put it, his indifference in the country.
President Thaci's courage to mandate the new prime minister as soon as possible is seen as meant to limit the term of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo to achieve the ruling coalition. But even the annulment of the meeting with Thaci on Kurti's side, according to the already opposition parties, is seen as his unwillingness to assume the responsibilities which they will meet in the new government, writes away “Voice”.
But despite that, analysts estimate the meeting is inevitable in order to continue procedures for the formation of new institutions.
