Kosovo mother-in-law sentenced for “years of bride's”

A Kosovo citizen had accused her former husband and his parents of keeping her violent closed in the joint residence. During the summer, Zug's (Cantonal) Supreme Court has handled this case, and the court ruling shows that the problem was not entirely as the victim has presented it, writes the zentralplus.ch, described albinfo.ch.

Besides her mother-in-law (63) and former husband (42) have been charged. They all lived in a common apartment and had made sure that the victim's wife could not enter and leave the house when she wanted to.

The court has pronounced the father-in-law a bail sentence and a fine against him and his son was found to be even a violation of the gunkeeping law after having had a broken knife. Compared with being confined to the apartment, the chief accused (the wife) said that in April 2016 he had brought her to the apartment because after a quarrel with her, she had fled the stairs and sought help. The victim's statements had not really been reliable. On the one hand, her claims about how often she was confined were not concrete enough.

On the other hand, questions arise about how it is possible that faithful people of the victim would not know about the extent of such intense drinking. What remains reliable is the charge of the case mentioned in her violent return to the apartment by the former husband. At this point, the Supreme Court has followed the argument of the preliminary degree of trial.

Thus, under the Supreme Court's ruling, the former husband is tried on bail, or 90 daily units from 90 francs, as well as a 300 franc fine. In addition, he must pay 500 francs as compensation to the victim. The amount goes to a child protection foundation in Switzerland. He was acquitted only of the prosecution's charge of assistance offered in the multiple deprivation of freedom, records albinfo.ch. The three accused are eligible for complaint at the Swiss Federal Court.
