A post on Oregon's FBI branch blog explains that while the Internet connection, while enabling access to services known as Netflix, it also allows hackers to enter someone's home through unsafe TV, which can then lead to the retaliation of the rotor.
“Hakers can also take over your insecure TV. At the end of the danger spectrum, they can change channels, sound altitude and show your children inappropriate videos, “the FBI wrote in the warning text.
In the worst scenario, according to the FBI, hackers can light up someone's camera and TV microphone in the bedroom and silence you.
The hackers have already hacked thousands of Google intelligent devices in January of this year.
