During U EFA, held in Bucharest, Romania's Kosovo Football Federation has received programme for WAR, which will start testing in the matches the Kosovo Nationalist will play as local until in the future, the start of this technology is planned even at the local championships, implacating it even at some of the stadiums in Kosovo.
But looking at the sports infrastructure in Kosovo, this is looking very difficult.
Contacted by Kosova Prees, Federation of Kosovo Secretary General for Football Erroll Salihu via the telephone, said that such a thing will be very difficult, but with the help of the Danish Football Federation, he hopes that eventually to be released.
We're going to start step by step, first we're going to start with the international matches in Kosovo, where the staff will be trained and then we'll try some of the Superleague matches to use the VAR system. We know that this will be very difficult and expensive for the Kosovo Football Federation, but with the help of the Danish Football Federation, we hope that we can get to”, Salihu said.
While coach and analyst Erdin Hashan initially indicated that Kosovo must first regulate the stadiums, as there are very few stadiums that meet the conditions for installing the VAR system.
It's a very good thing, but we need to remember that except for the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium, which meets the conditions for I don't think the other stadiums meet the terms. Maybe that's one of the reasons we first have to fix the stadiums then come. WAR to us, because if we look at it there are three four stadiums that even guest football stripers are not properly equipped, that is, with basic conditions. I think it's good VAR but it's still early because it's not enough conditions, first it takes primary conditions to be followed by football players, then to put the VAR into League”, he said.
According to Hashan, clubs will misuse the VAR system in Kosovo, demanding it in any intervention without taking its level into account.
While, the match with the VAR system in Kosovo, according to him, will always last more than 90 minutes as usual.
I think this is good, but it's also with two things I had to say, good, and bad, because the VAR, has its conditions that shouldn't be required in any intervention or any faul that is done, if we look at the VAR in the red card or penalty, and so I think they're misusing most clubs or football players because they've asked me for any intervention that will be done. So it is not the essence that any intervention is required for the VAR”, Hashan concluded.
Other Kosovo football analyst Ardian Lurmica initially confirmed that the implementation of this system at Kosovo stadiums is very difficult, but not impossible by seeing the hard work that the Kosovo Football Federation is doing in this direction.
I think that at this stage where the stadiums are located, where most of them are being rebuilt or in different renovations, I think it looks difficult and it's going to be difficult, but it won't be impossible because even the online system has been done for two months and it's become a platform. It's important to create platforms a lot and then practice on the field. I think clubs should open their eyes together with the federation at this stage to make the arrangements and make a better preparation, especially in the media because it is and still remains our achil heel at” clubs, he said.
In the end, Llumnica expressed his doubts about Kosovo clubs, confirming how we are, we can also make this system a problem.
Maybe in the region we're the Federation conditionally I'm saying we're evil with the most reasons we find or we find them as people judge and reference, and so I think it's still welcome for clubs and so, by nature, seeing how we're doing, even the VAR system. But I think it's welcome and where is the day for him to start and practice in Kosovo football”, Llumnica is finished.
We remember that the “Fadil Vokri” stadium in Pristina is the only stadium in Kosovo where national matches can be played.
