Albanian parties in Northern Macedonia vs. émini-Shengenım without Kosovo

Prime Minister Zaev, on Tuesday, has called on Albanian political parties to publicly show what was hampered by the initiative for the <x0-Schenin” Balkan, so that he can give his appreciation for this initiative, which he values in the function of citizens of the region's states.

“Aleance for Albanians, Movement Besa and the Democratic Union for Integration to show what concerns them about the provisions of HINA- Schengenit? And I'm ready to say why they're signed. They have to say why they disagree, what's in the way? Tell you if they're against lowering taxes, or against long columns at customs crossings... Are they against the removal of visas on the labour market in cases when a tourist has already entered one of the member states of the Miss-Schengen Initiative? ”, Zaev said.

He said the entire region is interested in the initiative and that this, according to him, was also witnessed with the participation of Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic. Zaev said Kosovo could also join the initiative, but Kosovo wants to be invited as a separate state, which on the other hand is part of an unresolved problem with Serbia, where other countries cannot intervene.

Albanian parties in northern Macedonia without exception have come up against this initiative precisely because of Kosovo's non-participation in this initiative, without its independence from Serbia being recognised, Free Europe reports.

From the Democratic Union for Integration, through a communiqué, have said that “nisma will not be successful without the involvement of all six Western Balkan states, the initiative to be included in the frameworks of regional European initiatives, as well as at these meetings to have EU and US presence”.
