Woody Allen has solved the problem over a contract indictment he filed against the Amazon, which cancelled an agreement on four films with the cinemast due to Movement #MeToo.
Lawyers of the renowned director and Amazons presented a joint announcement on the issue's dismissal, but the terms of the settlement were not revealed.
Allen filed charges in February, claiming that the Amazon was unilaterally backed by the deal due to a 25-year-old “reception. ”
Allen's daughter, Dylan Farrow, has long claimed that he raped her when she was seven, and Allen has long denied the charge.
Allen claimed that Amazon was fully aware of this controversy when he made the contract and owed him minimum payment in terms of $66 million.
Amazon banned the movie market “A rainy day in New York” in 2018, and then canceled a deal for three more films.
At the time, the Amazon quoted Allen's controversial “ ” for the Weinstein scandal. In a move to reject part of Allen's indictment, the Amazon argued Allen's remarks about the scandal in which he warned of a “atmosphere of witch hunting” in Hollywood.
“A number of actors and actors expressed deep regret over co-operation with Allen in the past, and many publicly stated that they would never work with him in the future,” The Amazon lawyers said.
Allan's “Actions and their consequences provided that the Amazon could never get the benefit of its agreement for four films.” Allen's company, Gravier Productions, managed to receive an international publication for “A rainy day in New York” this autumn, and has so far raised $11.5m in theatres around the globe.
However, it has not secured the distribution of film in the US.
