The microstate, completely surrounded by Italy, has spent the last 29 years building a reputation for today being known as the world's lowest football national, writes Periscope.
San Marino has won only one game in history of state and the one against Liechtenstein in 2004 until he's achieved in just three matches not to be a goal since his debut in the international arena in 1990.
So when this National Guard played as Kazakhstan's host on Saturday, everyone knew what was going to happen.
But history was written.
San Marino was at a 3-0 disadvantage when there were 15 minutes left to play, Philippoard realized.
Most of the nationals would surely have nothing to do with celebrating what was just a comforting goal.
But this was a special one because it is San Marino's first goal since September 2017, when he once scored 5-1 defeat against Azerbaijan. /Periscope. com/
