Based on the report on sponsor states of terrorism published Friday, Iran has spent a billion dollars a year to support terrorist groups serving as its branch and disseminating the negative impact on the world.
The support Iran gives Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Palestine and the group “Islamic Jihad” was highlighted in this report.
The Iranian threat is not limited to the Middle East, it exists at a global level”, said Nathan Sales, co-ordinator of this department for fighting corruption.
The report on states that finance terrorism is regularly published once a year since 2004. Through it, the State Department informs Congress of states supporting international terrorism.
