Within 10 months 33 people in Kosovo have committed suicide

The number of suicides in Kosovo is still becoming disturbing.

But most disturbing is the fact that this number is increasing, writes Indexline.

Only within 11 months of 2018 in Kosovo are twenty-two persons who have committed suicide.

According to Kosovo Police data, in the January-October 2019 period 33 people have committed suicide.

Thirteen cases have been recorded as attempted suicide.

“Referring to data on the PK, for the number of cases of suicides for the 01-01-2018 period

= Suicide 33 cases

·The attempted suicide 136 cases”, says the police's response to Indexline.

Meanwhile, according to the World Health Organization, about 800 thousand people a year die from suicide, which takes one person every 40 seconds.
