13 people have lost their lives and about 600 have been hurt by several powerful earthquakes that have hit Albania. According to Civil Emergencys, one person lost his life after jumping out of his apartment in panic, while two others were removed from the ruins of a palace in Thumana. Another dead body has also been extracted from the ruins of a palace in Durres.

The first powerful quake of the 6.4 magnitude struck Albania around 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday, and had the Adriatic Sea epicentre, 40km from the capital, Tirana and 10km north of Durres. Other lighter swings have felt after him. Another powerful earthquake was recorded at 7:10 a.m. 5.4 magnitude.
So far reported on several collapsed palaces in the city of Durres and the village of Thumane and dozens of families have remained in ruins, while citizens and rescue teams are trying to help stranded residents.
