Haradinaj said who removes the tax is stupid, answers Isa Mustafa

Outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said that only a fool could lift the tax on Serbian and Bosnian products. These statements to the LDK chief are part of a deignive campaign that is being used on the eve of establishing the new government. Democratic League Chairman Isa Mustafa, in a response to the Express, has stated that the allegations being made in television studios are more like a deignive campaign that creates reservations for bilateral co-operation.

The former Government Chief has given this response by responding to Ramush Haradinaj's accusations, which he said should replace taxes on Serbia with reciprocity.

“are some issues which need to be discussed and treated with full seriousness at this stage and after the Government is created. It is not only tariffs, but also several statements and accusations in television studios, intentional or not, which are more like a deignive campaign which creates reservations for mutual co-operation between the” parties, Mustafa has declared for Gazette Express.

Outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, until he has spoken of the Executive Work, has declared that tax evasion on the part of the new government would be a false step at the time when Serbia according to him is continuing to exacerbate reports on Kosovo.

So, nobody, let's not forget, it's not going to take any credit, thanks, from Serbia or the international community, but they're going to make fun of the two, and they're going to say the stupid ones of the head, because they know who gets rid of the tax for Serbia. So imagine what he did to himself, what he did to his country, his economy”, Haradinaj says.

According to him, tax evasion 100 per cent on Serbia's products would be at the expense of local producers, who during this time have marked increases in employment production.

On November 6th of last year, the Kosovo government had imposed a 10 per cent tax on products originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meanwhile, on November 21st, this tax was stiffened by 100 percent for all products and goods imported from these two countries.

But along with economic effects, the tax has also borne political effects. Placing the government's tax already on Kosovo's departure was in response to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina's policies against Kosovo's citizenship and its membership in international mechanisms and organisations.

But, the EU and US have consistently called for the suspension or cancellation of this tax.

The tax has been named to be contrary to the principles of the CEFTA Agreement for the freedom of circulation of goods.

With the 100 per cent tax set, negotiations between Pristina and Belgrade have been frozen.

However, the tax imposed on Serbian and Bosnian products has affected the halting of trade between Kosovo and Serbia.
