Annie why there is not yet any official announcement from the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Ghana has withdrawn recognition of independence, the deputy foreign minister yesterday announced that such a decision has been taken, as it was earlier “in haste”. Some of the world's most popular media have written about it.
In an interview given to the French media AFP, Ghana's number two diplomacy, Charles Oweredu, confirmed that his state has drawn recognition of Kosovo.
The Ghana government has made a decision to withdraw recognition of Kosovo's independence. That's because this decision has been hasty”, Oweredou said yesterday, is the Metro newspaper.
The media known as Daily Mail and Yahoo News have also reported on this decision that Ghana has confirmed to Serbia through a document, the Metro newspaper broadcast.
“On Ghana's diplomatic note writes that this country has drawn recognition of Kosovo's independence, which it had previously recognised as a state in 2012. This decision has been communicated to Serbia, with which the Republic of Ghana enjoys good relations”, these media write.
We remember that Kosovo diplomacy chief Behgjet Pacolli, nothing less than two months ago, was declared that with the Republic of Ghana, Kosovo has excellent relations and that an embassy will soon be opened there.
On the other hand, we stress that Serbia has consistently campaigned against Kosovo for recognitions, while only days ago its Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, was declared that by the end of the year, four countries are expected to withdraw recognitions.
