Albania's acting minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, participated in the event, held in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Council of Europe's founding.
Through a post on the Facebook Cakaj social network, says Albania is not only a hug of the Council of Europe's values, but also a refraining contributor.
“Especially during O leadership The SEU 2020, Albania will work closely with the Council of Europe in the service of human rights protection and promotion of fundamental freedoms”, Cakaj says.
Also, Cakaj stressed the importance of Kosovo's membership in the organisation, as according to him it will be an added value for the Council of Europe itself.
“We strongly underlined the fact that the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in this organisation is not only extremely important for protecting the rights of its citizens, but also an added value for the Council of Europe itself”, he said.
