Maurizio Sarri confirmed that Gonzalo Higuiin had consciousness and was clear after the blow he suffered on his head at the end of the match against Lecces, which ended with a score of 1:1.
Higuwin was worse off from the air impact with goalkeeper Gabriel during Saturday's fun match in Serie A, which took place at the “Via del Mare” stadium.
His condition reportedly deteriorated after the judge signalled the end of the match and he needed medical assistance to get away from the playing field.
“Gonzalo needed some stitches, then they'll decide whether he'll go to the hospital or not”, Sarri said in an interview given after the match for Sky Sports Italian.
“He has already wondered if he is responding clearly. I think he'll be back with us at Turin”.
Juventos earlier also lost Miralem Pianic to a muscle problem on a difficult day, yet Sarri acknowledged that he is unaware of the midfielder's condition.
Sarri's decision to fire Miralem Pjanic for the match did not coincide with Juventu, since the whites lost all the other cases they had, except for the goal scored by Paulo Dybala in the 50th minute from the penalty point.
