President Erdogan ironifies with the many posts Trump is making on Twitter about Turkish attacks in Syria: “I cannot count”

The United States is trying to regain the initiative after Trump suddenly agreed to withdraw American troops from Syria during a call with Erdogan and hand over control of regional security to Turkey.
Intensive fighting has continued today around the Tel Abaid and Ras al-Ayn border cities, while Russian and Syrian government troops who took control of Manbiy the day before moved to the outskirts of Koba, another key crossing point.
Deputy President Mike Pence has been sent to Turkey, along with State Secretary Mike Pompeo, to try to regulate relations between the two NATO allies, while expected to arrive tomorrow to start talks.
Trump's own opinion on Syria has been all but clear, as he has made conflicting posts in Twitte, praising his decision to withdraw from Syria, then boasting of two-party support for sanctions against Turkey's decision to carry out the attacks.
