Seven new invitations received by Special Court, expected to arrest four people

The Special Court has recently intensified its work by sending out invitations to interview former KLA members and even civilians.

The chairman of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, Hysni Gucati, says that in the last 10 days, the number of guests has reached 50, where last week the invitation has also been extended to Azem Syla, while today Shaban Syla, Jtullah Krasniqi of former Rector Ibrahim Gashi.

Today, new invitations have been reached, honoured Professor Ibrahim Gashi, according to information also Shaban Syla, Jtullah Krasniqi from Prizren has been invited today, so today if I do not miss seven invitations have been distributed only on Tuesday and Tuesday. The Special Court has multiplied the trend of these invitations, over 40 or 50 are within the past week, and these two days, which are over 50 invitations that have been distributed across Kosovo territory, the reason we don't know, the distribution of invitations is not in the best way that it becomes like an international court or that it tells itself that they are a top court, the invitations are mostly distributed in different cafes on the streets, blind, in the tea shop... which is a great disgrace to this justice that does not show the seriousness of its own<1> Gucats says.

Gucati says arrests for about four people are expected by November. It does not state whether they are commanders or others but says the arrests are secure.

This, he says he's learned it from international lawyers who have received licenses to protect their clients.

God forbid I'm wrong, there's three-four being arrested and certainly the trend of frequent invitations they are, certainly this October, early November, are expected arrests, so we have information. May God not be true, but on the basis of the work and the meetings we have with the internationals in the office, their own work, their vocabulary, who have come here to the office, some questions that we've been asked, have led us to doubt that this job will be arrested”, he said.

And if these arrests happen as expected, O The VL-KLA does not rule out the possibility of being opposed by protests.

If arrests occur I do not rule out the possibility of demonstrations, or protests, the possibility is never ruled out. Although in some form we have our hands tied, the Assembly of Kosovo has tied our hands for protests and demonstrations, because we've voted, my own friends in Parliament, it's been a great deal of veterans there, even some of the commanders who have been there, have voted this court, now they've tied our hands, but we don't intend to listen to them, and we don't intend to deal with them. You know, in Parliament when we opposed the Special Court, and a lot of things, so I didn't rule out the possibility that we could always get out on the street, but always with the council's council management and leadership council”, Gucati said.

On the other hand, Gucati says the state of Kosovo should remain loyal to former KLA members, whom he calls deliverers and to carry out the expenses of all those invited as suspects.

He says the Special Court continues to be unacceptable to them, but that they are not against justice and will testify to the KLA's pure fight.

According to the OVL-KLA, the number of guests has reached 110, without accounting for those who have not been members of the KLA, or who have declined to publish their invitation in order to keep privacy. He points out that many have not announced their invitation.
