He said that after a meeting of senior state officials for co-ordinating Czech foreign policy, they agreed that the issue of recognising Kosovo's independence is not in the agenda now.

According to Petricek, officials acknowledged the circumstances of recognising Kosovo as an independent state in 2008, when the then government decided, despite opposition from the Czech Parliamentary House of Representatives, to be problematic, the Kosovo Clan broadcasts.
“We agreed that considering the issue of recognition of Kosovo is inappropriate. The situation has not changed in any way, so the Czech Republic cannot change its position it has taken over the past ten years,” he added.
