Elez has said that counting the supposed ballots that have come through the mail will take place after election day, at the Counting and Results Centre, where conditional votes and votes of disabled persons will be counted.
“The numbering of votes through mail takes place at the polling and results centre after election day, and after all those legal procedures are conducted which are first on the vote issue through mail. It is also known that the Counting and Results Centre except the post-election vote will also be counted on bail and the votes of persons with special needs which are cast on election day”, he said.
He has made it known that recent preparations are being made at this centre and that everything will be ready for the number of votes to be cast on 6 October for the country's first executive.
“The counting centre and results are under way, and in time this centre will be able to expect all electoral material from all polling stations on the side of Kosovo, first to accept and then continue with other procedures as known are the procedures that are envisioned until the announcement of final results”, the CEC spokesman stressed.
According to him, in the absence of space within the Central Election Commission's perceived packages with ballotes reached by the diaspora are being preserved within a special space in the facilities of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
