Today silence, tomorrow's choice.
CEC Deputy Commissioner Valmir Elez was today's guest of the morning program “for days throughout”, on RTV21.
Elez indicated that in arms with the 2017 local elections, the 6 October voter list contains 111,000 new voters who can capitalise on the right to vote.
He stressed that 87 thousand out of 111,000 voters are voting for the first time, including those who celebrate their 18th birthday on the same election date tomorrow.
“compared to the 2017 local elections this time there are 111,000 voters with more than local elections. Of these 111,000 new voters, 87 thousand are for the first time, that is, the generation of those who have turned 19 on October 23rd one day after local election day and those who fill 18 years tomorrow on election day on 6. So this approximately two-year period includes 87 thousand new voters who count as voters who vote for the first time”, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi has said.
Early elections in Kosovo will be held on 6 October. The Central Election Commission has certified the final voter list, which includes 1 million and 937 thousand and 868 voters, who can vote at 2 thousand and 547 seats, while the number of polling stations is 895.
