Trump, Merkel and other world leaders write to Thaci: Happy New Year

US President Donald Trump, German President Frank Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Croatia's President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Slovenia's Borut Pahor, European Council Donald Tusk, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg are just some of the most powerful global figures that have congratulateded the people of Kosovo for 2019.

Congratulations has been sent to the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci.

The presidency's Media Office, which this year had not issued any communiques about congratulations coming to President Thaci from world leaders, has confirmed that Thaci has accepted numerous congratulations for the people of Kosovo in this new year.

For a happy and successful year, President Thaci has accepted congratulations from US President Donald Trump, Germany's President Frank Walter Steinmeier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Croatia's President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarov, Slovenia's President Borut Pahor. The president has also accepted congratulations on the people of Kosovo by European Council President Donald Tusk, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzić Abe, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Also, he has accepted congratulations for 2019 and the Royal Denmark family, from the Emir of Kuwait, Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jabar Al-Sabah, as well as from prime ministers, top diplomats and representatives of various countries of the world”, the Office for Communication with the Presidency Public says in response.
