Kosovo's president, in an interview for Austrian Kurier media, has talked about dialogue with Serbia, about the tax imposed on Serbian products, the possibility of redressing borders and visa liberalisation. In this direction, Thaci has said he expects after the agreement with Serbia to have a recognition of Russia, after which he has said Kosovo will have an embassy in the Russian capital, Moscow.
I believe and work to ensure that the Republic of Kosovo has a seat in the UN and is recognised at a global level... The EU and Federica Moghrini lead this process of dialogue. We have great support from the United States, especially Donald Trump. Also (there may be) an admission from Russia if we have a comprehensive agreement. This was missing in the past. It's an appropriate moment at the international level. If a comprehensive agreement is accepted by the EU, the US and Russia, that would mean global support”, Thaci has said.
After this agreement, Kosovo will soon have an embassy in Moscow”, Thaci has added further.
In addition, President Thaci has spoken even about imposing the tax on Serbian products, which Thaci has said Kosovo was forced to take such measures in one form or another.
“We will do our best not to complicate dialogue. But Serbia should not set conditions for continuing dialogue. I hope the blockade will be over by” soon, Thaci said, follows Telegragraphy.
While talking about the exchange of territories, Thaci has said the agreement with Serbia will be comprehensive.
I'm talking about open borders, not ethnic lines, that's a European model. I am convinced that a comprehensive agreement between Serbia and Kosovo will enable perfect co-operation in the region”
President Thaci in the Austrian media interview has also cited the fact that Kosovo citizens so far cannot move freely to Europe.
This is really an injustice regarding Kosovo citizens. The Republic of Kosovo has met all criteria, even more than others in the region. However, there is only one way: European integration. We're disappointed, but we're not getting off this road”.
