(7 years ago)The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), Patriarch Irinej, has declared that one of the key preconditions for resolving the Kosovo problem is “the construction of a society based on rule of law, where people of different backgrounds can live in peace, with full protection and respect for any religious, cultural identity and [...]
“Speaking of a permanent solution to the problem in Kosovo, without respecting these preconditions, would mean accepting ethnic cleansing of war as the final act and rejecting all values over which, in principle, lies Christian Europe, as well as the whole world”, says Irinej's letter on the Orthodox Christmas occasion.
He said that the promotion of notorious taxes on Serbian goods, the formation of the Kosovo Army, aims at further threats and the final expulsion of all Serbs from Kosovo.
However, in his message Patriarch Irinej éharronʹ to mention the genocide that Serbs committed against the innocent Albanian population during the recent war in Kosovo and the expulsion of a million Albanians from their hearths, thus performing an ethnic cleansing that was opposed to them.
