Periscop sources suggest that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli has written a letter informing the European Union and the states of Quinti about the ban on the deputy chairman of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS), Mr. Boban Stankovic, Deputy Prime Minister of Cooler, Youth and Sports in the Republic of Kosovo, the ban that comes only days after the ban of the party's main official, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic, MP of the Kosovo Assembly.
In this letter, Mr. Pacolli is explained that cases of banning Serb community representatives, simultaneously officials of the Republic of Kosovo, are clear indications that Serbia is working openly against the integration of the Serb community into the public and institutional life of the Republic of Kosovo.
Likewise, Pacolli is reminded that this behaviour of Berodard authorities comes at a time when the Serb community living in the Republic of Kosovo has consistently expressed concerns about the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, a politician who was critical of Belgrade's interventions in the political and institutional life of Kosovo Serbs.
This Belgrade policy, Pacolli emphasises in this letter, aims at inciting panic and fear in the non-Serb community living in the Republic of Kosovo, at the expense of active participation in the country's political and institutional life.
In closing this letter, Pacolli stresses the need for the international community's immediate intervention in preventing such cases, because as Minister Pacolli put it, it is not known how far Serbia is prepared to go with this agenda.
