Official: UN Pristina makes surprising decision, withdraws from Balkan League

This decision has been confirmed by the Balkan League's official page.

The reasons for this decision seem to be the dispute with the Kosovo Basketball Federation, because UN Pristina plays in four competitions -- the Superleague's, the Cup -- FIBA Europe Cup and Balkan League.

This is BIBL's full announcement:

”Klubi basketball Z Mobile Pristina sent an official email announcing that the club management cannot reach agreement with the Kosovo Basketball Federation about the local league programme and match schedule, but also at FIBA Europe Cup and BIBL, so they are forced to withdraw from the BIBL”, the Balkan League reports.

The Balkan League also announces that it will not force any team to participate in conflict with the rules, so it respects the Kosovo club's decision.

It is the decision of KB Z Mobile Pristina to withdraw from the BIBL and we accept their bid”, concludes the Balkan League, which wishes Pristina success in the local league and in FIBA competitions”. /Periscopi
