Chairman UFC, Dana White, has confirmed that the rematch between Khab Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will occur during the coming months, in 2019, suggesting that none of them will be suspended for long term by the UFC.
In October of last year, after all fights and threats, McGregor surrendered at the end of the fourth round when Khahabi held him in a unfavourable position for the Irish, regaining the crown of heavy weights.
Immediately after winning the mechi, Khab crossed the cage siege and started a clash with his friend and member of McGregor's staff, Dillion Danis. Even McGregor himself climbed into the fence then and hit a member of Khahabi's staff.
The fight did not end here after only seconds later, one of the members of the Khahabi group entered the cage and from behind the back hit McGregor.
As long as everything goes well, this wont happen. I think a lot of people are looking forward to seeing this rhyme. Of course, again, we haven't discussed this with the Nevada State Commission for Athletals”, White said.
We'll do this and once we see how things flow, we'll let them know the exact date. Will it happen in 2019? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's going to be”.
