Cocaine was once in Britain a luxury “” that was consumed only by wealthy cities and rebel rock stars, but the introduction of the Albanian mafia market from the year 1990 has transformed everything.
But as the Guardian” writes, the fact that the Albanian mafia brings to Britain, cheap cocaine from South America, has enabled many young people to afford it.
According to the National Crime Agency, in recent years the Albanian mafia has taken control of the lucrative cocaine market in the United Kingdom with a brutally effective business model. By negotiating directly with cartels in Latin America that produce drugs, by cutting off traditional international importers, the Albanian mafia has been able to offer a cleaner and more convenient product on the market: cocaine has not been so free since 1990, writes the Guardian<18x1>, broadcasts mean.
Ironically, the writing follows, anti-drug laws have also improved cocaine quality. The 2015 Red Crimes Act penalised the import of cutting agents such as benzokaina. When the product is difficult to cut, cleanliness increases. This, along with the fact that cocaine production has grown in Latin America, has created a perfect dust storm. The purity of cocaine, which has increased since 2010, is at the highest level in a decade, reports English media.
