German Ambassador to Serbia Thomas Schiet has said there is no deadline for reaching the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
“In hopes that dialogue for normalisation of reports between Belgrade and Pristina will continue as soon as possible”, he has told the Serbian daily Vecernje Novosti, translated Periscopi.
Asked whether Berlin will step up pressure on Pristina to remove the tax on Serbia, he has said German authorities are in constant contact with those in Pristina” and that they have a clear attitude, including the foreign minister, who has rejected this measure”.
He has said that it is true that Serbia cannot join the EU after resolving the problem with Kosovo”, adding that it is important for the parties to reach agreement as soon as”.
“We are not asking you to co-operate with Russia anymore so that you can become a member of EU”, he said.
