Gynecologists and obstetric doctors should view the woman with a clinical approach not only but also by showing attention to social and psychological conditions in all stages of life, given the progressive growth of the age in which pregnancy is required, the increased risk behavior among younger generations, irresponsability to contraception, gender violence, and its impact on women's health.
This is the message that comes from the National Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, organised in Rome by the leading scientific societies of experts in the field: titled “Woman, health and prosperity: proof medicine and future challenges”.
“Determination of the desire to have a child after 40 years of age, walks alongside the addition of voluntary pregnancy cuts (IVG) from the youngest, especially in the 18-25-year-old group”, highlights Valerie Dubin, co-president of Congress.
Even Pierluigi Benedetti (Policlinika Umberto I in Rome), co-president of Congress, adds: “In view of women's health as a key element for the functioning of a society, we as gynecologists have a great responsibility to accompany women at different stages of life, helping in the changes of age, both in terms of reproductive health and in terms of general well-being”
Maria Giovannina (University “San Camilo Forhánin”, Rome, co-president of Congress, concluded: “The relationship between women and her gynecologist is always based on dialogue and information exchange, enabling doctors to understand better not only clinical but also psychological and social aspects, thus enabling the personalization of therapies based on the specific needs of patients<3x>
