The damage caused by the allocation of the tax on goods from Serbia from 21 November to 30 December totals 46.1m euros, Serbia's Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Minister Rasim Lajic said.
He told Pink TV he explained that trade has now almost completely stopped.
“There have been more complaints from the international community to remove taxes, but Kosovo authorities only radicalised the situation and brought new measures,” said Lajjic.
According to him, Pristina has found other markets, such as wheat in Hungary and Croatia, which is 1015 euros more expensive per tonne than the one in Serbia.
Otherwise, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has suggested that the tax on Serbian goods will not be lifted until Serbia recognises Kosovo's independent and sovereign state. Meanwhile, the Serbian side has conditioned tax removal with the continuation of the dialogue in Brussels.
