Whether a child should be beaten or not is still a heated debate in the Western world.
Most people over the age of 30 have grown up with little parental violence, but as parents, you are sure to worry about whether you should practice this method to discipline your child or not
Apparently, beating a child can hurt him in many ways except physically.
In most cases, beating makes children more rebellious than encouraging them to become more disciplined.
University experts Texas and Michigan, following research published in the magazine Journal of Family Psychology, have found that children being beaten are more inclined to disobey their parents, and to have problems with anti-Social behavior, aggression, mental health problems, and cognitive difficulties.
They have added that beating children increases their risk of developing mental - health problems even in later years.
