It has become known at this conference that the Ministry of Management of Local Power has rejected the decision of Mitrovica's Municipal Assembly, calling it illegal.
Mayor Bahtiri has stressed that this petition will be submitted to the Kosovo Assembly in order to seek the unification of the town of Mitrovica.
Citizens have also called on Parliament deputies to vote on the initiative.
The conference is held in Mitrovica municipality environments.
We remember that since the post-war period about 150,000 people have been displaced from northern Mitrovica.
