Peter Noecaj has been sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison for the charge of bodily injury against his already deceased wife, Valbona.
The case was tried separately with that of Valbona's murder and his daughter, in August last year, in which Noecaj was sentenced to 24 years in prison.
The announcement of the bodily injury trial took place today at the Gjakova Foundation Court, in the empty courtroom, without the presence of either of the parties.
The court's declaration made Judge Diana Sina, who said that the time spent in custody would also be calculated in detention.
The representative of the indictment, prosecutor Mone Syla, claims that in May 2018, Noecaj had now caught the deceased Valbona by hitting her in the face.
In yesterday's trial, just two and a half months after he was convicted of killing his wife and daughter, Noecaj had again come to the courtroom to face charges of beating his ex-wife.
Yesterday before the court he pleaded guilty to the charge of slight bodily injury, expressing regret.
I admit I hit Valbonne, I apologized to her, and the next day I wanted to send her to the doctor, but she refused”, said Peter Noecaj.
On the evening of August 7th, Peter Noecaj had shot his nine-year-old wife and daughter to death.
On November 2nd, 2018, Noecaj had left the same courtroom with 24 years in prison on his back, though he was found guilty before Judge Guzim Pozheg.
The same had expressed regret, denying that he had aimed at committing the murder.
For the double murder of Valbona Noecaj and her daughter, there had been protests in nearly all Kosovo cities.
