26 thousand euros raised for Demaj police family

Today it has been a week since the body of the late policeman Izet Demaj was buried in Kostunica.

He died on duty during an armed struggle preventing robbery at a bank in Istog.

An online fund opened last Saturday to collect tools to help the Demaj family.

For a week this fund has reached 26 thousand euros, where citizens are solidifying and sharing tools that make the family's economic situation less comfortable.

Today, however, the Demaj family through a scripture has requested a break in financial assistance.

They have announced that they are under the auspices of state institutions and that they seek to ban the collection of financial means.

“The family of the police killed in office, Izet Demaj, considering them well intentioned and grateful, to businesses and persons who have contributed, on behalf of Izet's wife, brothers and close family, we seek from the two communicative companies, Ipko and Vala, to interrupt the collection of financial means”, the family has declared.

However, this fund is still active and has so far raised 26,042 euros.

While, this fund will remain open until January 15th.
