Vetevendosje says granting permission to Vuciqi adds to Serbia's claims on Kosovo. He even calls it illegal and dangerous for the future.
Kosovo's “institutions have never shown seriousness every time Serbian leaders warn of visits to Kosovo. Since granting permission to Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, power in Kosovo is showing that it is willing to issue and compromise with Serbia, which the state and our people pay. This license is illegal, it is illegal, harmful to the present and dangerous to the future”, the VV says.
Furthermore, Vetevendosje says his visit is a violation of Kosovo's territorial integrity, which leaves Kosovo President Hashim Thaci responsible.
“The visit of the president of Serbia in Kosovo, his attitudes and actions is against the independence of Kosovo and our Republic. They are violations of our country's territorial and institutional integrity. But, at the same time, there are also the wreath of Zajednica Thaci-Vukic. So much has been relativised, until the conflict, the citizenship of our country the current president Thaci, that he has created an extraordinary terrain for Serbia here. So, today Vuciqi can visit Weyman, even remember in his speech both Milosevic, mention Greater Serbia and pledge that Serbia will not recognise Kosovo's independence. All of this, thanks to the power that opens the way through unconditional, principleless negotiations without a mandate. Hashim Thaci has made Kosovo's refusal acceptable, so today statements against us” are easily made, said the communiqué.
So protests are also taking place contrary to this visit, said further in the communiqué. These protests are not only caused by indignation against Vuciqi, but also by the inconsistencies of Kosovo institutions.
“This is why Hashim Thaci needs no new evidence that ignoring the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament has won nothing but the appearance of Serbia's claims on Kosovo. Kosovo needs other dignified leaders who protect its integrity and preserve its dignity”, the VV says.
