The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms (KMDLNJ) through an announcement sent to the media has backed the Appeal Court's decision for Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators (IPK).
This decision, according to the KMDLNJ, is evidence that IPK investigators were regularly accepted, following a regular recruiting process.
And during meeting with former MPB Minister, Mr. Flamur Sefaj, KMDLNj, suggested his intervention over the independent institution The IPK is illegal, punishable, and therefore, as a moral act, the minister would have to resign, or if you refuse to do so, then it would have to be downloaded. Former Minister Sefaj had made accusations against KMDLNj and the ombudsman who judged this arbitrary decision and sent threatening messages”, it is said in part of that report.
This is the full response:
Following the flagrant, illegal and contained elements of the former MPB minister's criminal act, Mr. Flag Sefaj to an independent institution such as the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, arbitrarily cancelling the competition for IPK investigators and thereby denied the legal and human rights of candidates who, in a regular monitoring process (monitored by KMDLNI), earned their job rights. Just on the day the candidates were invited to sign the contracts, former Minister Sefaj cancelled the contest, pressuring former IPK chief Hilmi Mehmeti and putting him in a bad situation against his subordinates. Later, the former head of the IPK assembled a process after which he was dismissed without even testifying to legal offense or criminal responsibility. KMDLNj, shortly after the review of the contest, had made a public reaction condemning the lawful and arbitrary decision of former Minister Sefaj, who then was “handed down”, no doubt under pressure and political orders due to kidnapping and deportation, despite all international conventions on human rights and country laws, six) Turkish citizens, with work permits and residence in Kosovo.
Even during the meeting with former MPB Minister Mr. Flamur Sefaj, KMDLNj, suggested his intervention over the independent institution The IPK is illegal, punishable and therefore, as a moral act, the minister would have to resign, or if you refuse to do so, then it would have to be downloaded. Former Minister Sefaj had made accusations against KMDLNj and the ombudsman who judged this arbitrary decision and sent threatening messages.
Besides, and after that, in complaints from IPK investigators who were admitted to a fair competition, The KMDLNj advised them to seek unfairly denied rights from Minister Sefaj, in judicial institutions given public support and not doubting they would realise their rights.
The Appeals Court's decision is a fair decision and evidence that IPK investigators had been accepted fairly, following a regular recruiting process, is a satisphaci for the work of KMDLNj and the ombudsman, as well as a clear message that any arbitrary intervention for political or other purposes will receive the correct response and deserved by the judiciary.
