American fighter USS Bulkeley (DDG-84) entered the Mediterranean through the Strait of Gibraltar on Wednesday, Russian news agency Interfax reported.
With the arrival of “Bulkeley”, American forces in the region have up to 200 “Tomhawk” available to attack targets in Syria, if ordered to do so, Interfax reported.
Last week, attack sub “U n SS Newport News (SSN-750)” also arrived in the Mediterranean.
Washington has repeatedly claimed that the government in Damascus is preparing chemical attacks against civilians in the province of Idlib, the last remaining raid of the jihadist rebel groups. The most powerful of these groups is Hayat Tarhir al-Sham (HTS), formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra.
