Albania and Germany will co-operate in promoting legal labour migration and curbing irregular migration.
The bill for ratification of the agreement between Albania and the German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ) for the “Council for Migration in Albania” aims to strengthen migrants' contributions to the development of their countries of origin and improve conditions for legal migration in the select partner countries.
The Economics Commission today discussed the bill through which relevant institutions aim to fight irregular migration, providing information on legitimate labour migration routes and informing about education and professional formation and labour market prospects, both in Germany and Albania.
Co-operation will focus on the areas of counseling for migration and, more specifically, on advising and informing specific groups on legitimate job migration opportunities and prospects of education and employment in Albania; the update and delivery of information about labour migration, access to the German labour market and relevant training for migration sports personnel, etc.
