Scandalous: Post of strip clubs leads Albanian Diaspore Business Network

Albanian Diaspore Business Network Chairman Nazar Mehmeti is known as owner of strip clubs in Dallas, Texas. For years, he had had problems with the law, as clubs that owned him were the target of police shares there. Years ago, even in those clubs, dozens [...]

Nazar Mehmeti is one of the leading leaders of strip clubs in Dallas, U.S.A.

The media there had often reported on the troubles that Mehmet was causing to the state with his strip clubs, which had sometimes been the target of inspection.

Decisions were even made to close some of them because of the supposed illegal acts.

In nightclubs owned by Nazar Mehmet's family, decades ago dozens of people had been arrested on charges of drugs and prostitution.

At the time, this had turned into a scandal in Dallas, following serious charges of prostitution and drugs.

Despite all of this, however, Nazar Mehmet was nominated as chairman of the Albanian Diaspore Business Network.

The story of serious accusations against businesses he led did not prevent him from being placed at the top of a network that has the main goal of recognising Albanian diaspora businesses and bringing investments to Albanian soils.

Periscop's sources have announced that many successful businesses from the United States have refused participation in the activities of this Network, precisely because a nightclub owner was at the top.

Periscope weeks ago also reported how close to half a million euros were spent on the foundation of this network.

This network, later registered as the Nongovernmental Organisation, was established by former director of the Research and Support Department of Investments at Diaspora Minister Naim Dedusaj, who was dismissed by current Diaspora Minister Dardan Gashi a few months ago. Dedushaj had even assumed the office of director on the network he had created with the Ministry's money.

One of Mehmet's strip clubs in Dallas is known as Liptrick”.

It was in this club that dozens were arrested in 2005 on charges of drugs and prostitution.

Mehmet was even at war with the police, who were demanding that the club be obtained licenses.

Mehmeti, through lawyers, had managed to prevent Dallas city from removing its license for Liptrick because of the suspicious behavior of the workers there.

Even in 2002, there had been attempts by Dallas authorities to get Mehmet to obtain a club license after his workers were convicted of prostitution, drugs, and similar things.

In addition to these nightclubs, media in Dallas report that the Mehmeti family owns several restaurants, sports bars, two cafe clubs to grow, and other clubs.

This proves that Nazar Mehmet is one of the richest Albanians in the United States.

But his wealth growth is questionable because of questionable activities performed in his owned strip clubs, such as drug and prostitution.

Despite his activity in the US, Mehmeti is the main man of a network representing the interests of Albanian diaspora businesses.

Years earlier, he was even elected chairman of the Dispora Business Union.

On 12 July of this year, country President Hashim Thaci had decorated it with the Jubilare Medal of Independence.

“With the Jubilare Medal of Independence, today I also decorated the prominent Albanian-American event, Nazar Mehmetin, who is head of the Diasporas Union of Business”.

Our subx0> Department has made a huge contribution to Kosovo's freedom and independence”, said the president's Facebook publication.

Nazar Mehmet was a representative of the former Yugoslavia Albanians who moved to the US in the 1960s.

Born in Prespa, he was stationed in the United States at an early age. Thus, when he was only 30 years old, he had managed to become one of the richest Albanians on the new continent.

In Texas, everyone knows him as a restaurant owner and nightclub. /Periscopi
