The PD falls asleep three days later, say something about building NATO air base

News published in the media about the Atlantic Council's decision to build a NATO air base in Kucove has been spent quietly for three days on the DP's side.

Following some indirect irony in the media near Berisha, today former DP deputy minister Tritan Shehu has welcomed the NATO country.

While making a history of DP governments in the function of NATO membership, Shehu says the government has done only homework and should not use this act as bullets to the opposition and the region. <

Yesterday, some media organs wanted to cast nebula of suspicion about the opposition stance for “the possibility of expanding NATO's presence in our country”.

No doubt these are just malicious algorithms and all the opposite to reality and facts.

I want to remember here that almost all Albania's way straight. NATO is linked to its DP, government, until our full accession there.

The DP since its <x0th birthday”, unlike other parties created in the former communist bloc, confirmed our will for the EU and NATO.

Further June 1992, so two months after the formation of our Government, Albania applies accepted to the North Atlantic Co-operation Council.

By December 1992, Berisha visits NATO's Seline, where he is expected from the General Secretary, who on March 1993 visits Albania itself.

On February 23, 1994 Berisha signed the Framework Partnership for Peace document with NATO, making Albania the first member of its former communist countries.

On April 20th, the Albanian Parliament ratified this document, despite the Socialists' opposition in these periods.

The road continues further into more and more co-operation until the April 2nd 2009 summit, when the prime minister was Berisha, eventually joined NATO, making up one of the greatest historical achievements of Albania, Albanians and our region.

So now we are members of NATO and as such we have great benefits, but also great obligations to this alliance, obligations related to financial elements, participation, deepening democracy, our fight against crime, drugs, trafficking, rationality, regional and Foreign policies, etc., which are unfortunately far from being demanded by a member country in seriousness, the practice of results.

So it's more useful that this Government is trying to make the “ministers of the house” and not use the most positive decisions of NATO to us and the region, like “political challenges to challenge our internal reality. TemA)
