The financial services industry, 96.38 francs, pharmaceutical products producer (92.19 francs) and overall research and development (91.39 francs), writes Tages-Anzeiger.
On the other side of the table are workers in the cleaning sector, where the pay of every hour of work averages up to 34.60 francs. Also below 40 francs remained hotel workers and gastronom with 36.68 francs, albinfo records.
These figures, which refer to 2016, were published by the Federal Statistics Office (FSO). According to Swiss conditions, the cost of an hour's work reached about 60 francs. Compared to 2014, this results in an increase of only 0.7 per cent, said Didier Freidewaux from BFS. According to Froidewaux, this slight increase reflects the fact that nominal wages in this country have increased only a few in recent years, the albinfo.ch broadcasts.
Salaries and wages are to some extent the most important component of labour costs: they account for almost 80 percent annually.
In addition to wages, the employers' social contributions are still declining, with a turnout of about 17 percent. Let's not talk about other employers' costs, such as the cost of training and recruiting.
Twice as much in the EU
Conversely, social contributions to the private sector are lower when even lower wages are paid. They reach 14.5 percent of the cost of work in the hotel and restaurant industry.
Compared to the EU, local labour costs are high. According to figures from the SDA agency, in 2016 a working hour cost 29.27 francs in the EU and 38 francs in Germany (based on current exchange courses).
