The young man who lived in Germany since 2015 was one of 69 people who was deported on July 3rd on a special plane from Munich to Afghanistan.
Two weeks later it was learned that the 20-year-old should not have been expelled, due to an ongoing trial at the Greifswald Administrative Court.
He had tried to reject his request for asylum, and a week after the expulsion, the refugee should have appeared before trial.
For two weeks, the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) would start the necessary steps soon.
The husband's lawyer, Sonja Steffen, reacted with relief: “I have been confirmed that our rule of law works and that the big mistake that was made is now being corrected”, she said then about NDR.
