Zubin Potok Mayor Stevan Vulovic has said that Gazivoda's artificial lake is a strategic and extremely important point for the future of Serbs in the Republic of Kosovo.
“Without Gazivoda Lake in Kosovo would remain around 700 thousand people without drinking water in Kosovo” says Vulovic.
Vulovic says convinced that Serbia will manage to preserve Gazivoda and Trepca as its property, naming them extremely important points.
According to him, Gazivoda's importance also shows Pristina's great struggle to own it.
Around the theme of Gazivoda Lake was the noise of the first days of August, when large KFOR forces were located near the lake.
This had also prompted Belgrade's harsh reaction, which Hashim Thaci had accused of using the presence of KFOR forces in Gazivoda hydropower plant to put the energy agreement with Serbia in history.
