Hasani, Klosi ministers agree on common tourism agenda between Kosovo and Albania

Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani has met -- today in Prizren, Albania's Tourism and Environment Minister, Blendi Klosi.

The two ministers agreed on a joint tourist agenda between Kosovo and Albania.

Minister Hasani stressed that along with Klosi, they will open the winter tourist season in the Rugova Mountains or in Brezovica.

Hasani said that Kosovo too has tourist attractions to visit, especially in the winter season.

“We talked about co-operation between the two countries and how to organise and co-operate in the future even better in the area of tourism. Albania has done well in the area of tourism. We too have given much importance to tourism after the department's creation. Today we are not by chance in beautiful Prizren to deliver a message from here that we are for a co-operation between the two countries, especially the Republic of Albania, because there are possibilities and fields of co-operation. We talked to the minister from the beginning of the autumn season since Brezovica or Rugova to open the winter season and from there give a message, because we think Kosovo has room to be visited by Albanians”, the minister said.

Minister Klosi said they will work on building a strategy between the two countries in the field of tourism and Kosovo and Albania to have a joint offer for Balkan countries.

We chose Prizren to testify how well a European tourist point could be transformed, just as Prizren did, and it was transformed through the festival "DokuFest." To have fact as the starting point of all our policies on both sides of the mountains building a common strategy not to share the Albanian and Kosovo Sea is all Albanians. What comes out of our way, be able to make a joint programme for administrative policies to correctly follow business demand. Therefore, a joint group will have the opportunity to prepare a common agenda by October and have an opportunity for the entire Balkan region to have a joint offer and the offers of our two governments be joint”, Klosi said.
